Final Fantasy 3 – Scarmiglone Boss

Posted in Random stuff on December 10, 2008 by sireatsalot85

Finally I have been trying to beat this stupid Scarmiglione Boss in FF3 and I finally did and it was easier than I though…you simply dont use fire attacks as it will cause him to attack in a devastating way. Always use Palom and Poroms twincast, use only the wizards Thunder attack and just heal or revive as soon as you can , doing so you should be fine.

Soupebol West Island

Posted in Food, Restaurants, West Island on December 9, 2008 by sireatsalot85

Soupebol is another chain of local restaurants that features different types of asian inspired foods. Although there is no specific country the chain represents, their food seems to be heavily inspired from Thai food. The size of all the locales except the one on St.Catherine are fairly small, I have eaten at most of the restaurants and I must say that thir soups are what keeps me coming back hence their name Soupebol. Depending on what you fancy for a meal, most of their soups always seem to be filled with raw vegetables which is always a plus. They also make an excelent low fat chicken dish that I forget its name 😦

My usual is the large Won Ton soup, but this time I decided to go for something a bit more daring. Already being somewhat full from my huge breakfast I decided to opt for the small Spicy Tom Yum soup with seafood (and lots of it);)

What impresses me most about the soup is the perfect balance between hot, sour and sweet, along with the different spices and herbs and of course…… a gigantic mussel. Although what has dissapointed me, is the fact that there is imitation crab instead of real crab. BUT for the price of 9.50 $ it is definetly something tasty that will fill you up for the rest of the day so I should’nt really complain. Using real crab would jack up the price quite a lot. Although it would be nice if they had the option of real crab since it would really kick up the flavour even more.

This is another local restaurant that will make sure to satisfy you without breaking your wallet…
cheers

Bofinger Restaurant

Posted in Food, Restaurants, West Island on December 6, 2008 by sireatsalot85

So, I am almost done studying and about to start my holiday, in celebration I decided that going to a restaurant would be apporpriate rather than the usual drinky/smokey that one does on special occasions. Bofinger is a new steakhouse chain that recently has surfaced in the Montreal area and my overall impression is AMAZING . It is the only place in town where for under 10$ you can eat, literally……like a pig. On top of that I have found the food to be of superior quality and flavor, more so than a lot of aother places which will remain un named.

The menu consists of things such as beef, pork, sausages etc and one must choose a sauce and a accompangnement to the meal ,which can include beans, fries, mac and cheese and of course……

an unlimited selection of carbonated beverages to pour to your hearts content.

For exactly 9.25$ I got a all dressed rib sandwich, along with fries and ginger ale. As I bit into every inch, the hot sauce was definetly burning my insides . OMFG, it was delicious that is all I can say…

Another awesome feauture of the restaurant is the selection of hot sauces and I’m telling you they have hot sauces galore. Unfortunaltely I only got to try three….

mmmm….

Overall Bofinger is definetly the place to go for quality, service and great quality, that won’t leave you pennyless

Cheers

Thai Express Egglplant Chicken Review

Posted in Food, Restaurants on November 29, 2008 by sireatsalot85

As my busy days of exams and handing in assignments come to a close, my appetite is at times unsatisfied. In order to quell my hunger and thirst, I opted for the new Thai Express location near Concordia on Maissonneuve.
The Thai Express chain is one of my favorite places when I require Pad Thai on the go and so far it is one of my favorite places for this delicious thai dish. Upon entering the place and feeling the need to try something different, I decided to try their new Eggplant Chicken that includes a 16ounce toothrotting beverage of your choice.

Having been impressed with their pad thai, I must say that the dish named Egglant Chicken was a complete let down due to the fact that the entire dish contained 2 pieces of eggplant but nonetheless a very savory on the go dish.

Enjoy…

ZAP!

Wow, what a wonderful invention, a machine that charges and cleans your phone in minutes, It is a relatively new device that was installed here at Concordia, to help us dirty students clean and charge our ever growing arsenal of elctronic devices…
As you can see the machine itself consists of many wires and chargers for different brands and a small “sterilization” area that includes a little light that kills bacteria.

My phone feels minty clean already….

What’s wrong with this picture?

Posted in Uncategorized on November 16, 2008 by sireatsalot85

It’s really sad to think that we as humans can be so ignorant of our surroundings and always seem to think of something as “not my problem” or “it is just the way it is”.

To answer the question as to what is wrong with my picture is that it is the middle of November and it is 12 degrees outside, these are sadly, the effects of global warming.

The amount of cars that were present on the same street earlier was astounding. To think about all the pollution that those cars were emanating and how much of it was going into my lungs was a really disgusting thought. These my firends are simply the effects of our dependence on oil, hence one of the most sought after commodity of our time.

Cars are powered by fuel, almost everything contains some sort of petroleum derivative, from our computers to our styrofoam coffee cups.

Sadly, global warming is the price we pay to go online, preserve our food, drive our cars and to think that these are things that a huge portion of the global population take for granted on a daily basis.

As I was walking puffing on my joint I think to myself, we really need to wake up and smell the coffee. We automatically assume that everything our goverments do is right and for the good of the common people, but the truth is our goverments seem to prefer short term profits over your or my well being.

A thought that occured to me was about cancer. Cancer is comparatevely very common these days than it was 50 years ago. Why? Because of so much crap that is being put into our own bodies on a daily basis. I mean most people dont even seem to care about what producers put into our food, or how it was processed. Look at Genetically Modified Organisms, the baby of food corprations. We tend believe that this is a scheme for the common good of all, by having the ablity to eradicate world hunger and make the products better, but in the end that is just a bunch of bullshit. It all comes down to profit and even more profit. How do we even know how these will affect our enviroment in the long run, our well being, health etc…

As I mentioned, cancer is one of the biggest killers on the planet and guess who is making profit off of the deaths of people, the pharmaceutical industry. It seems as if they dont even care to find a cure , I mean cmon, a huge chunk of profit comes from the developement of chemicals targeted towards cancer, that dont even have much of an effect. It seems in a way as if they want us to be sick, so that they can further profit off of us. Because lets face it, finding a cure would not be favorable towards making money in the long run.

It has been speculated for 35 or so years that THC (the active component of cannabis) has tumor killing properties and yet no wide scale investigations have been produced into these claims. Why? The answer is simple….you cant patent a plant, if there is no patent there is no profit. Also if there indeed was a cure that lied within the compound that would mean people could possibly extract their own, therefore nullifiying any form of dependence on the big industry. Which in turns means loss of profit….. check it it has resurfaced lately in the news too.

Also all the stuff im learning in sociology class is really opening my mind to the truth and it is truly disgusting

check this site, since my mom died of cancer, and thinking this might have helped her live or even make her life better, it could have been a gift of heaven. Instead she was taking that morphine and heroin crap which rendered her unfonctional most of the time….

http://www.youtube.com/chrychek

This is a small example on how us as a whole population are being kept in major ignorance by our evertrusting Goverments, and it is time that we indeed wake up and smell the coffee and do something about it this doesnt only apply for medicine but also our food and enviroment.

Fish Jerky and Guiness

Posted in Beer, Drinks, Food, Fun on November 14, 2008 by sireatsalot85

After a week of stressful events, what better way to unwind than with some fish jerky and a delicious Guiness. I decided to try the combo, courtesy of the shopgirl that has sold it to me who mentioned that it goes very well with beer. As you can notice from the picture below, the jerky comes pressed in as a disc of fish meat.
The texture itself is very very tough and and the sametime very flaky. Unlike the conventional jerky that we are used to here in north america, it is VERY spicy. Spiciness for me is a very important aspect, since I love spicy stuff and they can never seem to make a beef jerky spicy enough for my tastebuds. Along with the delicious smoothness of guiness this makes a perfect, combo. Although I do recall that at one point guiness was served with oysters, which would therefore make the drink a suitable candidate for seafood, no?

Delicious…..

Anyway im off to watch the BankJob along with Jason Statham…

ciao

Girls have Dildos, what do guys have?

Posted in Fun on November 11, 2008 by sireatsalot85
Recently, I have been wondering with a few of my friends, what do guys use in their perverse little escapdes. It seems as if my trip to the local sex shop has answered my question; its called….A Masturbator.

Having had a one on one discussion with the helpful, yet sexy assistant, she pointed me to a variety of personal toys that guys use. She showed me a few interesting models that are made from a new type of material , aptly named ,CyberSkin. CyberSkin is suppose to feel like the real deal as it is used on those really expensive sex dolls that people use and spend tens of thousands of dollars on.

The more she showed me around, the sillier i got , having squeezed and …ugh…, sampled a variety of CyberSkin devices, I decided to purchase for 30$ the Jessy Capelly replica of her Vajayjay made by the famous company Doc Johnson.

As I opened the package, the scent of strawberries engulfed my nostrils and out came a rubber Vagina.

To the touch it almost feels like skin and also, the detailing that has gone into replicating the actual organ is quite impressive as I can see even the pores on the skin….amazing I must say….

Ny way, the mystery of what guys use, is now officially debunked….

Van Houtte Hot Chocolate

Posted in Food, Restaurants on November 11, 2008 by sireatsalot85

Recently, having noticed a Van Houtte cafe on Maisoneuve and Mcgill, it seems to have peaqued my interest.

They seem to be advertising their latest Chocolate Coffees and I was in the mood for trying one. Having suddenly changed my mind, I decided to opt for the European Hot chocolate for 3.86$. OMFG it is THE BEST hot chocolate I have ever tasted. It was soooo smooth and creamy as it went really well with the cranberry Muffin I decided to scarf down. Definetly will go back there….
