Sublime Incence Holder

Since I do go to Concordia it is unevitable to sometimes drop by High Times, which as many of you know carry diverse items for the more…psychedelically inclined. Being a pretty big fan of Sublime, I couldnt help noticed this Incence Holder which of course complements my desk quite nicely on those nice mellow weekends. The incence holder itself depicts the infamous cover of 40 oz to Freedom which is the bands debut album. The price I paid was 28 bucks, which in my opinion was a bit overpriced but hell if im such a fan I might as well right?

Also does a fine job of holding my smoking accesories 😉

Tandori, first impression

Posted in Food, Restaurants on February 22, 2009 by sireatsalot85
The new Tandori restaurant at Fairview is a brand new “Indian cuisine” fast food chain, which to my surprised is owned and operated by the same company as every other restaurant in the mall. Now the only thing I could complain about would be the fact that you can smell the curry from the resto overshadowing every other place, but alas when it comes to satisfying my appetite for something Indian, i must say it is …..OK. I tried the samosas but was really not impressed as they resemble something from a Costco value pack, steer clear of them at any cost, that is of course if one respects true Indian cuisine.
As for the chicken tandori wrap, the only word i have to describe is; decent, but nothing special.

The chicken was good and tender, the potatoes were very good. I was actually pleased that there is one restaurant that offers its potatoes baked rather than fried . Finally I can steer myself away from a heart attack yay. The mango lassi was good and creamy, not the best but very good as a desert 🙂
Overall Tandori, in terms of Indian food, so far, after having had my first meal, I would say that it is an OK place to go to if you are in the mood for something Indian, but cant have a nice full blown reputed restaurant. BUT if you want to try Indian food for the first time and have an awesome experience I would recommend Bombay Chourpati which I am planning on reviewing soon….

Everyone knows the infamous Jolt products that have been around for almose 20 years, well it seems that in recent years they have entered the soda market with colas of different strengths and varieties, the first one i am trying is the blue rasberry who has so far exceeded my expection in taste and buzz. Packing a 256 mg jolt of caffeine it really succeded in keeping me up all night. It goes for only 1.99 too at adonis, so worth picking up

Fullers London Pride

Posted in Beer, Drinks on January 30, 2009 by sireatsalot85

Ok, so its friday afternoon and im having pizza….the microwavable kind. Unfortunately lately we havent had the time to go shop for food due to issues in the family. So to complement it I thought that I should give Fullers London Pride a go.

The lack of bitterness, very balanced taste and slight caramel/licorice notes is what really impressed me about this beer, as i really dislike bitterness. Its very easy to drink and has a slight malty flavor at the same time….not a favorite but definetly will consider buying it again. In terms of aspect the color is reddish brown but lacks a good foam head. Overall id say an 8 out of 10
Bon Appetit
